Turmeric Soap recipe

Turmeric Soap Recipe

Description

Easy Melt and pour turmeric soap recipe you can make at home in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

8 ounces melt and pour soap base -  I suggest an olive oil or shea butter base, glycerin if acne is an issue

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

20 drops essential oils

soap mold

Instructions

Start by melting your soap base in the microwave in a bowl or over low heat in a saucepan.

Stir in the turmeric until well mixed in. Then add your skin safe essential oils. Allow to cool a little if soap is really hot before adding your oils so they don't evaporate.

Pour the soap into your mold and allow to cool fully before popping the soaps out or cutting into bars.

Notes

This is a small batch of soap. It made 4 smaller bars. Simply hit the button in the card to double up the recipe if you want to make a pound of soap.

I used tea tree and bergamot in this soap.  Citrus essential oils, lavender and skin safe spice oils would also be good choices, depending on your needs and preferences.

Strengthen the effectiveness of the turmeric soap bar by adding a few drops of organic turmeric root essential oil into the warm  melted soap mixture before pouring into molds.
