The holidays are upon us, today I have a fun and easy DIY Christmas gift idea for you... Cranberry Sugar Scrub! It is definitely a festive sugar body scrub recipe. The homemade scrub will make your skin feel silky smooth (Perfect for all those holiday parties).
Cranberry Sugar Scrub
Like most sugar scrubs this cranberry one is gently exfoliating for the skin. It has additional skin benefits though!
Cranberry Skin Benefits
Drinking cranberry juice has many health benefits, but topical application of mashed cranberry pulp or cranberry oil is also beneficial.
While I typically don't use fresh fruits in my sugar scrubs so they will be more shelf stable, in this case the benefits of cranberries are worth it. The acid in fresh cranberries works as a gentle exfoliating peel. This exfoliation freshens and brightens the skin. Cranberry skin benefits also come from all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients present in the fruit.
